Role Overview
This role is based at the Campos Coffee headquarters in Banksmeadow, New South Wales, where coffee roasting takes place daily. As a Coffee Roaster, you will be responsible for executing precise and timely roasting to maintain consistent flavor profiles that meet customer expectations. The position involves working standard shifts Monday through Friday either from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM or a variable start between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM finishing between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM depending on operational needs. Flexibility is crucial, with occasional paid overtime opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute coffee roasting procedures to achieve exact sensory profiles.
- Coordinate closely with other teams to ensure roasting schedules are met efficiently.
- Reduce waste through mindful roasting practices.
- Adhere strictly to established safety and quality guidelines.
- Engage in continuous learning about coffee origins, roasting profiles, and flavor characteristics through expert-led sessions and cuppings.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and an ability to concentrate without distraction.
- Embraces repetitive tasks with a positive attitude.
- Possesses a keen passion for coffee and enthusiasm to master the Campos roasting method.
- Has basic competency with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Physically capable and willing to handle lifting up to 24 kg, with training provided.
- Holds valid and unlimited Australian work rights.
