Civil Site Engineer

Position Overview

The Civil Site Engineer will manage and supervise daily construction activities for real estate projects in Kolkata, ensuring all work complies with engineering specifications, quality benchmarks, safety regulations, and project schedules.

Primary Duties

• Supervise construction tasks daily to confirm adherence to structural plans and technical requirements.
• Continuously inspect materials and workmanship to avoid structural faults and costly rework.
• Effectively coordinate on-site laborers, subcontractors, equipment, and material distribution.
• Maintain thorough logs and prepare regular progress updates for project management.
• Track inventory to verify materials delivered and prevent wastage or theft.
• Implement strict safety protocols to maintain a zero-accident workplace.
• Serve as the key communicator among architects, engineers, suppliers, and company leadership.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a B.Tech/B.E. degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute.
• Have 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience supervising construction sites in residential or commercial real estate.
• Well-versed in concrete technology, structural drawing interpretation, bar bending schedules, and finishing processes.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project management software is advantageous.

Additional Requirements

• Fluent communication in Bengali and Hindi is essential for managing workforce; business-level English is required for reporting purposes.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams, resolve conflicts, and maintain motivation under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities to promptly address structural or supply chain issues during construction.
