Overview
Equans invites applications for a Caretaker position based at Newcastle Fire Station, Elswick NE4 6HL. This is a permanent, full-time role requiring a commitment of 37 hours per week. The salary offered is 25,460 annually plus an attractive benefits package. Shift timing is Monday to Thursday from 07:30 to 15:30, and Friday from 07:30 to 15:00.
Key Responsibilities
The Caretaker will manage facilities for the Tyne & Wear Fire and Rescue Authority under Equans' PFI Estate contracts, ensuring tasks adhere to set schedules and standards. Duties involve completing preventive maintenance tasks per industry guidelines, logging site-related issues, monitoring progress on assigned jobs, and maintaining excellent customer relations.
Role Requirements
Candidates must pass BPSS level vetting, including enhanced DBS clearance. Essential experience includes operational delivery of facilities management services and customer-facing roles. Supervisory experience and a full clean driving license are highly preferred.
