Role overview

Abacare, part of CCH Group, is hiring a Care Assistant in Cwmbran, Wales. This is a community-based home care role supporting adults in their own homes while helping them stay independent, safe, and respected. The team describes a supportive, close-knit culture with a strong people-first approach.

Pay and hours

The pay range is £13.45 to £13.55 per hour, plus 30p per mile. Working patterns are highly adaptable and can include full-time, part-time, mornings, evenings, or weekend shifts.

Main duties

In this role, you will visit vulnerable adults in the Cwmbran area and help them with everyday care and companionship. Typical tasks may include helping with morning routines, preparing meals, reminding clients about medication, and offering friendly conversation and emotional support.

Experience and training

Previous care experience is not essential. The employer welcomes applicants who have supported family members, cared for children, or are looking for a meaningful career change. Full paid training is provided so new starters can build confidence in the role.

Additional information

This position is not open to sponsorship at this time. Walking routes are available for people who do not drive.
