Role Overview

We invite you to join as a CAD Technician I providing drafting support for large-scale Solar and BESS projects. This is a remote, full-time role based in India operating from 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM IST to align with U.S. teams and project timings. The position focuses on assisting the U.S.-based engineering and drafting groups by producing and maintaining detailed project drawings remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the production of project drawings by implementing redlines and markup revisions accurately.
• Carry out fundamental drafting duties such as updating lineworks, labeling, annotating, and formatting layouts.
• Apply and learn EVS-specific CAD standards, including title blocks, layering, and proper scaling techniques.
• Help keep drawing sets and project folders organized, ensuring consistent filing structure.
• Adhere strictly to file naming protocols, version control measures, and XREF standards.
• Assist with plotting, printing, and exporting drawings for internal reviews and client delivery.
• Develop CAD skills progressively through mentorship, on-the-job training, and team collaboration.
• Gain familiarity with tools including AutoCAD, PVCase, and Civil 3D.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related drafting or CAD role.
• Basic familiarity with AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software applications.
• Understanding of 2D drafting fundamentals: layers, annotations, scaling, and linework.
• A willingness to learn new software, processes, and corporate CAD standards.
• Excellent attention to detail with accuracy in modifying drawings according to specifications.
• A proactive attitude toward learning and ability to work collaboratively under guidance.
• Strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities.
