Education and Experience Required

• Certification in basic drafting software combined with over 7 years of drafting experience; or
• Technical certification in a relevant design field along with a minimum of 3 years professional experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate actively as a member of the design team
• Develop design concepts and ideas
• Create submittal and fabrication drawings for various product categories
• Review and verify the quality of design drawings according to company standards
• Organize and engage in collaborative design workshops (charrettes)
• Respond to questions from both internal teams and external clients

Job Requirements and Skills

• Proficient understanding of architectural and engineering drawings
• Experience with 3D modeling software is required
• Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor/Product Design Suite is advantageous
• Must be skilled in AutoCAD, Rhino, AutoDesk Inventor, and AutoDesk Revit/BIM CAD software
• Experience using CAM software such as RADAN is a plus
• Knowledge of AutoDesk VAULT is beneficial
• Ability to manage CAD department inquiries and review drawing requests for completeness
• Prepare various types of drawings including art, die, fabrication, and submittal formats
• Create full-size paper templates for manufacturing and client use
• Assist in developing and upholding engineering drafting standards
• Propose and implement solutions for design challenges
• Perform quality checks on drawings prepared by other drafters as assigned
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail
• Effectively communicate with production staff, engineers, sales personnel, architects, and contractors
