C-Arm Technician

Role Overview

This role requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, with a preference for certification and at least two years of related experience. Familiarity with medical terminology and the protocols common in a physician's office is essential. The candidate must be physically capable of standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, and assisting patients with mobility—including transferring them between tables, wheelchairs, and vehicles. Experience within orthopedics is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments.
• Conduct patient interviews, measure vital signs, and accurately document information into the electronic health record (EHR).
• Prepare treatment areas for consultations and procedures.
• Manage prescription processes including calling pharmacies, submitting electronic prescriptions, and preparing written scripts for physician signatures.
• Handle incoming patient calls requiring physician input, ensuring prompt routing and recording.
• Support patient triage workflows, especially for urgent appointments and compliance.
• Administer injections following physician instructions, safely disposing of hazardous waste per OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain supplies in exam rooms and notify management when restocking is required.
• Sanitize examination rooms between patients and at day’s end.
• Assist with scanning and indexing patient records within electronic systems.
• Complete daily online tasks linked to the physician's worklist.
• Provide appointment reminders to patients.
• Support procedure room technicians and clinical teams as needed.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors, including covering for medical assistants at other locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; professional certification preferred.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a related healthcare setting.
• Orthopedic experience is advantageous.
• Ability to stand for long periods and assist patients physically.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
