Position Summary
This role centers on enhancing business workflows, documenting procedures, assisting various business units, and serving as a liaison between internal teams and outside partners. The professional will pinpoint opportunities to streamline processes, maintain comprehensive documentation of operations, support training initiatives, and help implement business solutions.
Primary Duties
- Collaborate with business units to spearhead process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance business procedures.
- Create and maintain documentation for operations and procedures.
- Evaluate training requirements and communicate newly established processes.
Documentation Responsibilities
- Produce documents covering business workflows, training methods, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and project progress reports.
Project Coordination
- Manage projects within different business units.
- Function as a strategic partner and liaison among First American Company, governmental bodies, vendors, corporations, and other divisions within First American.
- Define and refine business processes.
- Create, update, and manage various products and services related to the business.
- Transition implementation of new processes to the Project Management Team as appropriate.
Business Analysis
- Engage in determining business process needs.
- Identify and suggest related business or application solutions for specific requirements.
- Collect customer requirements for tailored solutions and offer alternative options.
- May provide direct training and support to end users.
Problem-Solving and Implementation
- Detect issues and research possible alternatives.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders.
- Lead efforts to test, gain consensus, and apply solutions for business processes.
Reporting and Data Analysis
- Create and generate reports.
- Analyze data and convey trends to management and business partners.
Daily Expectations
- Tackle moderately complex problems using multiple considerations.
- Use judgment within defined guidelines.
- Adhere to departmental processes and procedures.
- Recommend improvements and accomplish set objectives.
- Engage in negotiation and persuasion to gain consensus among implementation teams.
- Recognize that mistakes could delay process improvements or problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Possess strong analytical abilities and proficiency in interviewing stakeholders to gather information.
- Skilled in formulating pertinent questions and managing data effectively.
- Solid grounding in general business concepts and cost-benefit analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Capacity to clearly define business requirements.
- Two to five years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
