Business Analyst

Overview

This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, product owners, operational teams, and external vendors to gather, analyze, and document requirements for OMP system maintenance, enhancements, and new releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with various stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements related to OMP maintenance, enhancements, and new releases.
• Perform impact assessments and gap analyses for change requests, enhancements, incidents, and integration projects.
• Evaluate current business processes and suggest improvements to optimize service delivery, user experience, and operational effectiveness.
• Convert business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, wireframes, and other project artifacts.
• Lead requirement workshops, solution walkthroughs, sprint refinement sessions, and user acceptance discussions.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, developers, and QA teams to ensure precise translation of business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support technical design conversations involving OutSystems, AWS services, Amazon Connect, APIs, and integration with external systems.
• Review functional designs and solutions to align with business goals and operational requirements.
• Assist with release planning, prioritization of requirements, and backlog management.
• Support SIT/UAT by preparing test scenarios, collecting test results, handling defect triage, validating business outcomes, and ensuring readiness for deployment.
• Help investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and support service recovery efforts.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specs, process maps, user guides, training materials, and operational procedures.
• Work with cybersecurity, operations, platform, and infrastructure teams to ensure adherence to government policies, IM8 requirements, and governance standards.
• Contribute to change management, stakeholder communications, and promoting user adoption of new OMP functionalities and releases.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience working as a Business Analyst.
• Hands-on experience with agile-scrum methodology and managing end-to-end project lifecycles.
• Proven experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Experience building digital products for government or public sector clients.
