About the Role
Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is inviting applications for the position of Branch Administration Associate at their Holborn location in Kingston. This opportunity offers a fulfilling career within a stable and expanding financial services organization, providing administrative support to the Branch Manager, Financial Advisors, and assisting the Branch Administration Supervisor in guiding the branch’s administrative team toward achieving its objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer administrative assistance to the Branch Coordinator.
- Draft memorandums, letters, meeting minutes, and general correspondence.
- Organize branch events such as meetings, one-to-one sessions, retreats, and award ceremonies.
- Prepare and deliver administrative reports to the Branch Coordinator.
- Collaborate with the Branch Administration Coordinator to supervise HEART Trainees.
- Support the training initiatives for administrative team members.
- Manage and monitor the flow and settlement of Coupon applications.
- Assist in processing recruitment and termination documents for Financial Advisors.
- Help prepare and submit selection interview and recruitment documentation for new hires.
- Dispatch policy contracts to Financial Advisors.
- Record and send Policy Acknowledgement Receipts to the New Business Department using the Transmittal Form.
- Assist in budgeting and monitoring departmental administrative expenses.
- Perform additional job duties as assigned periodically.
Qualifications and Skills
- Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Completed LOMA Parts 1 and 2 certifications.
- Minimum of three years’ experience working in a life insurance company.
- Proficiency with computer software, including word processing and spreadsheets.
- Comprehensive understanding of the company’s products and services.
- Strong grasp of life insurance principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and time management abilities.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
