About the Company
Our client is a leading manufacturer specializing in waste heat recovery boilers based in Hyderabad.
Job Overview
The position demands a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with approximately 10 years of experience in the design and engineering of boiler equipment. The individual will lead the design and development of various industrial boilers, including fire tube boilers and waste heat recovery boilers (WHRB), as well as associated pressure vessels. The role requires a strong foundation in both thermal and mechanical design principles and strict adherence to industry standards such as ASME and IBR codes. You will also be expected to actively participate in technical meetings to collaborate and align engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and engineering process of industrial boilers and pressure equipment.
- Develop detailed designs for heat exchangers, economisers, static equipment, and pressure vessels.
- Manage and review design documentation and drawings received from customers and consultants.
- Coordinate and interface closely with various teams including piping, structural, and instrumentation & control to ensure design consistency and compliance.
- Ensure all design work complies with relevant mechanical and thermal codes such as ASME and IBR.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
- A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in boiler and static equipment design and engineering.
- Proficiency and strong understanding of heat exchanger, economiser, static equipment, and pressure vessel design fundamentals.
- Familiarity with industrial codes and standards including ASME and IBR.
- Capability to interpret and validate engineering drawings and interface them across different engineering disciplines.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities to support design team management and interdepartmental coordination.
- Software proficiency for boiler design and detailed engineering tasks.
