Overview
Zurich Insurance Europe AG, Ireland Branch seeks an experienced Bodily Injury Claims Handler to oversee single and multi-party Motor insurance claims characterized by moderate to high complexity within designated authority limits. The role emphasizes prompt and effective handling of bodily injury claims, aiming at optimized indemnity management, cost control, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio involving claims with moderate to high exposure, including coverage determination, liability evaluations, and quantum analysis within specified authority bounds.
- Set and consistently review accurate claim reserves up to an authority limit of €200,000 throughout the claim lifecycle.
- Apply advanced expertise in handling moderately to highly complex bodily injury claims.
- Interpret policy language with precision to ensure consistent and correct application of policy terms.
- Drive claims to timely and fair settlements while maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction, indemnity, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain communication and cooperation with key internal teams and external stakeholders to keep them informed of case developments.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks while delivering high standards of customer service.
- Support business line leaders by offering a reliable claims service to policyholders and brokers.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives, including feedback and audits for claims file quality enhancement.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least ten years of relevant experience managing large portfolios of bodily injury claims.
- Must possess a Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) qualification; Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) is an advantage.
- Accreditation under the Minimum Competency Requirements is mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective workload and diary management capabilities with excellent prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate within teams and guide claims strategy with stakeholders effectively.
- Adaptable mindset with the propensity to embrace change and pursue continual learning opportunities.
Additional Information
The primary workplace is situated in Blackrock, Dublin. While the role is Dublin-based, occasional travel to other Zurich offices may be necessary.
