Role Overview

The Board Member role demands strategic leadership and governance to ensure sustainable growth and robust corporate oversight at BoxFlex. Stationed full-time onsite in Dubai, the individual will actively engage in board sessions, scrutinize performance metrics, and influence the company's vision and growth blueprint. Key responsibilities comprise advising on market positioning across the Gulf and wider geographies, directing funding priorities, and assisting executives with critical decisions on product innovation, collaborations, and operations. Collaborative policy formation, contract and capital expenditure review, and ensuring compliance with legal and ethical mandates are integral to this position. The role also involves mentoring upper management, representing the company to vital stakeholders, and fostering a culture rooted in transparency, accountability, and innovation.

Qualification Criteria

• Proven strategic leadership capabilities including designing long-term vision and growth strategies, ideally for innovative or design-led businesses.
• Expertise in governance functions encompassing risk management, compliance oversight, and ethical standards adherence.
• A strong financial literacy to interpret statements, assess investments, and contribute to budgeting and capital allocation.
• Comprehensive industry and market knowledge, preferably within entertainment, hospitality, technology, or premium consumer sectors in the Gulf or MENA region.
• Experienced stakeholder management skills, adept at working with investors, partners, customers, and senior teams.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and decision-making competencies with the ability to constructively challenge and support executives.
• Previous board-level or senior executive roles preferred, particularly with scaling early-stage or rapidly growing enterprises.
• Relevant academic qualifications or equivalent professional experience in business, finance, engineering, design, or related fields.
• Commitment to be physically present in Dubai for board engagements and important company events, dedicating full-time effort to governance and advisory responsibilities.
