About the Role
We are seeking PhD-level Biochemists to collaborate with leading AI research labs in advancing scientific AI models. This fully remote and flexible contract position involves applying deep biochemical knowledge to help AI better interpret life sciences, without requiring prior AI experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop complex biochemical problems in fields such as nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, structural biology, and drug-target interactions to challenge AI systems.
- Compose detailed, stepwise scientific solutions that act as reference standards for AI reasoning.
- Review AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and scientific analyses to assure accuracy, safety, and correctness.
- Identify and correct logical and scientific errors in AI outputs, including stoichiometry, stereochemistry, and kinetics, providing constructive feedback for AI improvement.
Candidate Profile
- Possess or be in final stages of a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related disciplines.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in areas such as structural biology, enzymology, metabolism, bioinformatics, or pharmacology.
- Effectively communicate complex biological and chemical concepts clearly and concisely in writing.
- Exhibit meticulous attention to detail in working with chemical equations, molecular illustrations, and experimental methods.
- No previous AI experience necessary.
Additional Advantages
- Experience in data annotation, quality control, or scientific peer review.
- Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools like PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST.
- Knowledge of bioinformatics or computational biology.
