We are seeking an energetic Benefits Verification Specialist to become part of Coram's National team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Patient Care Coordinators and insurance companies to verify coverage for in-home Enteral therapy for patients. This position is crucial in ensuring a smooth process for prescription orders while delivering excellent service to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance carriers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough benefit verification and document findings.
  • Provide comprehensive details about Enteral home infusion services to stakeholders.
  • Adhere strictly to all regulatory compliance standards, internal policies, and recommended best practices.
  • Coordinate effectively with Patient Intake Coordinators to manage new and existing accounts.
  • Investigate and assess patient insurance coverage eligibility for the program, including types and levels of insurance.
  • Communicate with healthcare professionals and insurance personnel to facilitate coverage verification and authorization.
  • Perform precise data entry in the ACIS system to maintain accurate reporting and outcome tracking.
  • Contribute to self-assessment reviews and assist less experienced team members as needed.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in customer service or call center settings.
  • Proficiency in data entry tasks.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook and Word.
  • High School diploma or GED certification required.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in home infusion or durable medical equipment (DME).
  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience verifying insurance benefits and working with healthcare insurance providers.

Additional Information
