Associate Project Manager, Capital Projects (Southwest)

Job Overview

This opportunity involves supporting the successful delivery of complex capital projects that enhance senior living and healthcare facilities across the Southwest region of the United States. The Associate Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple construction and renovation projects concurrently, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, budgets, and timelines. This role requires coordinating with contractors and internal teams to achieve project goals effectively in a remote working environment with frequent travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities for 3-5 concurrent construction and renovation projects, varying by scope and complexity.
• Facilitate project meetings with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to discuss progress, challenges, and scheduling.
• Perform regular on-site inspections to assess construction quality, safety adherence, contractor performance, and project status.
• Identify and escalate risks, issues, or delays, and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
• Ensure projects meet the defined scopes of work, contractual requirements, budgets, and deadlines.
• Maintain transparent communication with all stakeholders through updates, reports, and progress monitoring.
• Prepare and maintain schedules, trackers, and project documentation to support successful execution.
• Organize stakeholder alignment meetings between internal teams and external partners.
• Manage project close-out documentation and ensure proper record maintenance.
• Provide additional administrative support for project initiatives as required.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma; a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, or related disciplines is highly preferred.
• At least 3 years of professional experience relevant to construction, renovation, capital projects, or real estate development.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to collaborate effectively with diverse project participants.
• Capability to conduct site visits, evaluate progress, and identify operational risks accurately.
• Detail-oriented approach to maintain precise documentation and reporting standards.
• Independent and proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness and capacity for frequent travel among project locations in the Southwest region.
