Position Overview
The Associate Manager of Digital Commerce Operations plays a critical role in the Connected Commerce business by ensuring seamless launches and flawless customer experiences across e.l.f.'s digital platforms including the website, app, and social commerce channels. The role involves cross-functional coordination, launch readiness management, inventory planning support, and governance of operational workflows to maintain an efficient commerce ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational management for digital product launches, ensuring accuracy in inventory, pricing, promotions, content, and customer experience across elfcosmetics.com, e.l.f. app, and TikTok Shop.
- Coordinate launch schedules and dependencies across Brand, Supply Chain, Master Data, Development, and Customer Service teams.
- Prepare operations to handle demand spikes, promotions, and growth strategies on digital consumer channels.
- Conduct readiness reviews, staging tests, and smoke tests to guarantee flawless execution on all customer platforms.
- Manage launch calendars, project trackers, and workflows to keep teams aligned and informed on progress.
- Track and enhance performance metrics such as order throughput, fulfillment times, accuracy, shipping, and customer satisfaction.
- Handle product setup and updates for collections, promotions, and merchandising on Shopify and related platforms.
- Create and validate promotional campaigns for accuracy and seamless customer interaction.
- Ensure precision in product details, pricing, inventory status, and promotional information.
- Monitor inventory health, allocations, and replenishment to preempt potential risks impacting sales.
- Collaborate closely with Demand Planning, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to balance inventory with launch and promotional plans.
- Provide order volume forecasts to fulfillment and distribution ahead of key launches and promotional events.
- Support forecasting through maintenance of planning documents, operational trackers, and projections.
- Develop and upkeep operational playbooks, launch checklists, governance processes, and frameworks to enhance consistency and scalability.
- Maintain detailed trackers for innovation launches, campaigns, promotions, and digital initiatives.
- Ensure milestones are achieved and escalate issues, dependencies, and risks as necessary.
- Identify efficiency improvements in accuracy, speed, and operational workflows continuously.
- Act as a central coordinator for operational issues affecting global customer experience.
- Work with Customer Service teams to resolve site issues, communicate updates, and assist in troubleshooting.
- Manage development tickets, bug reporting, and enhancement requests.
- Support QA testing and validation of new features and updates on commerce platforms.
- Coordinate sample allocation and inventory readiness for brand, affiliate, and social commerce campaigns.
- Engage in planning meetings, launch reviews, and status updates to maintain priority alignment.
- Foster cross-team trust by providing transparency on timelines, risks, and progress.
- Lead and develop a digital commerce coordinator and seasonal interns to support operations.
Candidate Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in digital commerce operations, e-commerce, merchandising operations, project management, or related areas.
- Proficient with ShopifyPlus; experience with TikTok Shop is advantageous.
- Deep understanding of product launches, promotional strategies, inventory management, and operational workflows.
- Advanced skills in Excel and spreadsheet management; familiarity with Power BI or other reporting tools is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills, able to juggle multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving ability, keen attention to detail, composure under pressure, and fast execution.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions.
- Preferred experience in beauty, consumer products, retail, or direct-to-consumer business sectors.
Compensation and Benefits
The total compensation package includes a base salary, performance bonus eligibility (up to 200% of target depending on company performance), equity grants, medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plans, gender-neutral parental leave, and unlimited paid time off.
