About Air Products and Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a secure and accident-free work environment by actively leading compliance with all company and industry safety protocols.
- Strictly follow HSSE policies, meet environmental regulations, and uphold Air Products' standards along with global EH&S and quality best practices.
- Guide troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and testing activities in line with technical advice from Engineering and Maintenance.
- Support Operations and Maintenance with quality assurance, document control, and maintaining equipment reliability and safety.
- Manage plant production efficiently using data-driven strategies to achieve safety, reliability, and profitability goals.
- Identify opportunities for productivity expansion by collaborating with cross-functional business areas.
- Lead and enforce safety programs including Safety Work Permits, Lockout/Tagout, confined space procedures, and foster a strong safety culture.
- Execute assigned duties safely, adhering to operational procedures and Superintendent instructions.
- Ensure proper maintenance notifications in SAP are accurate and verified.
- Participate in risk assessment visits and work permit preparation for maintenance and contractor activities.
- Engage in planning and execution of shutdowns, turnarounds, and daily maintenance scheduling alongside maintenance teams.
- Oversee readiness for maintenance tasks and facilitate regular equipment testing and preventive maintenance.
- Prioritize repairs to ensure operational continuity and maintain strict adherence to safety and permit conditions.
- Coordinate with support departments and conduct risk assessments for unusual operational scenarios.
- Drive achievement of maintenance KPIs, ensure procedure availability, and minimize operational bypasses through proper planning.
- Enhance plant capabilities by leveraging regional and global technical support.
- Mentor and motivate operations teams to achieve excellence and foster teamwork, communication, and performance orientation.
- Establish close working relations with engineering and maintenance staff to monitor and improve systems.
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal facility issues, coordinating resources and representing the company.
- Promote continuous improvement in productivity, quality, cost management, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering at minimum.
- At least 10 years' experience in gas, petrochemical, or related sectors across operations, engineering, or maintenance.
- Minimum 6 years in supervisory roles within process operations.
- Proven expertise in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams including operations, engineering, and maintenance.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with clear communication abilities at all organizational and external levels, promoting a unified team environment.
- Capable of managing daily customer interactions professionally.
- Broad technical understanding of operations, engineering, and maintenance tasks.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Familiarity with pertinent local environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations.
