Role Summary

The Assistant Project Manager supports both Project Management and Design teams in managing commercial construction and renovation projects from inception through design phases and into construction. Responsibilities include scheduling, documentation management, client communications, permitting facilitation, and collaborative coordination, providing valuable exposure to the full project lifecycle and potential career growth into a Project Manager position.   • Facilitate project transitions from design to construction phases.
  • Assist with pre-construction meetings and maintain thorough project documentation.

  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and important milestones, preparing status reports and escalating any risks or concerns to the Project Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2 to 3 years of experience handling multiple concurrent projects within commercial construction, restaurant/QSR, retail, or architectural design sectors.
  • Familiarity with architectural, MEP, and construction documentation and a good understanding of permitting procedures.
  • Strong communication skills with clients, including comfort in presenting design concepts and proposals.
  • Highly organized, focused on deadlines, and capable of managing schedules, budgets, and gross profit accountability.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Smartsheet; knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software is advantageous.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across design, pre-construction, sales, and construction teams.
