Assistant Manager/ Manager (Youth Leadership & Engagement) - 1 Year Contract

Role Overview

The Assistant Manager/ Manager (Youth Leadership & Engagement) will join a nimble team committed to empowering young individuals to contribute to conversations on national issues. This role involves collaborating with government bodies and industry partners to nurture youth leadership and fostering trustful connections with the engaged youth community.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement both virtual and in-person engagement activities enabling diverse youth groups to express their views and take initiative on matters important to them.
• Develop and manage national leadership programs aimed at deepening youths' awareness and appreciation of national concerns.
• Identify and connect with youth leaders for opportunities within the National Youth Council and across government initiatives.
• Maintain and utilize a Customer Relationship Management system to monitor, coordinate, and report youth engagement and development efforts.
• Facilitate partnerships with internal teams and external organizations to build significant collaborations and encourage inclusive participation among youth segments.
• Manage administrative and procurement tasks related to youth programs and events.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong team collaborator with an aptitude for networking among various stakeholders.
• Driven by purpose, self-directed, resourceful, and adaptable to dynamic work settings.
• Skilled in critical analysis and resolving problems effectively.
• Knowledge or keen interest in youth-related topics and policies is preferred.
• Experience facilitating meaningful youth discussions is advantageous.
• Familiarity with relationship management and commercial CRM platforms is a plus.
