Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site Architectural Engineer position in Doha, Qatar. The role supports the design, planning, and delivery of restaurant and hospitality projects across Sterling Restaurants’ brands. It involves working with architects, civil engineers, project managers, operations teams, contractors, and consultants to translate project needs into practical, compliant, and cost-effective architectural solutions.

What You Will Do

• Create architectural layouts, plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings.
• Update and develop drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design tools.
• Build 3D models and visual presentations for design review and approval stages.
• Align architectural work with civil, structural, MEP, and other technical disciplines.
• Prepare BOQs using approved drawings and project specifications.
• Develop shop drawings, as-built drawings, and other technical submittals.
• Check drawings and specifications to confirm accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Work with consultants, contractors, clients, and suppliers throughout the project cycle.
• Support authority approvals and help ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Attend site inspections and provide technical input during construction.
• Keep project records organized and ensure documents are submitted on time.
• Address design issues and contribute technical solutions to project teams.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Relevant experience as an Architectural Engineer, ideally gained in Qatar or the GCC.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit; experience with SketchUp, 3ds Max, Lumion, or similar visualization software is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of architectural detailing, construction techniques, and building materials.
• Experience preparing BOQs, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical documents.
• Good familiarity with construction standards, project records, and local authority processes.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to handle several priorities and deliver work within deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, or industrial projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination is an added advantage.
• Valid QID with transferable sponsorship, or eligibility to work in Qatar, is preferred.
