Application Group Intern

Overview

This internship is with Nestle Middle East Manufacturing LLC in Dubai South, near Al Maktoum International Airport. The role offers practical exposure to coffee product development within a factory setting, with involvement across recipe work, trials, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

New Product Development

• Assist with recipe formulation based on approved project briefs.
• Help coordinate industrial trials, process validation, and the associated records.
• Contribute to documentation and activities needed for technical acceptance approvals.
• Prepare product specifications, process flow documents, and Manufacturing Dossiers.
• Support shelf-life testing, HACCP, QMS tasks, and development of key sensory characteristics.
• Work on SAP tasks such as material creation, material specifications, and Bills of Materials.
• Partner with suppliers and the Procurement team on raw material development.

Product and Process Improvement

• Support initiatives aimed at optimizing processes and improving line performance.
• Take part in cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects.
• Assist with product launches, start-up activities, and post-launch performance reviews.

People and Knowledge Development

• Engage in shop-floor learning and continuous improvement efforts.
• Support training sessions and internal knowledge-sharing practices within the factory.

Success Profile

• A genuine interest in product development and coffee manufacturing.
• Strong sensory assessment capability.
• Comfort working in a practical, hands-on factory environment.
• Ability to work well with teams across different functions.
• Careful attention to detail and strong documentation habits.

Additional Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or Food Technology is preferred, with recent graduates favored.
• Applicants must already have a valid UAE residence visa under their own sponsorship.
• A current medical insurance policy is required.
• A driving license or dependable transportation is preferred because the factories are in Jebel Ali / Dubai South, where public transport access is limited.
