Accounts & Inventory Executive

Role Summary

Grandway Super Market seeks a dependable and diligent Accounts & Inventory Executive to join its team in Chennai. The role demands meticulous management of purchase transactions, stock records, and accounting entries to support smooth supermarket operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter purchase bills into the POS software system.
• Maintain purchase and accounting records using Tally Prime.
• Track daily stock movements in the storage area accurately.
• Confirm purchase pricing and ensure profit margins are maintained as per standards.
• Notify management promptly of any adverse effects on margins due to cost variations.
• Engage with suppliers to manage schemes, discounts, credit notes, returns, and damage claims efficiently.
• Collaborate with the auditors to guarantee timely completion of GST returns and necessary statutory filings.
• Ensure all daily transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
• Generate straightforward daily and monthly reports related to purchases, stock levels, and expenses.

Candidate Requirements

• Familiarity with Tally Prime accounting software is essential.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Enthusiasm to learn and adapt to POS software tools.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and sense of responsibility.
• B.Com or BBA graduates are preferred candidates.
• Prior experience working in a supermarket environment will be advantageous.

Compensation & Joining

The monthly salary range is ₹18,000 to ₹25,000 depending on candidate experience. Preference will be given to candidates who can join immediately.
