Job Overview
We seek a dependable and detail-focused Accountant capable of managing daily accounting activities and financial reporting independently. The role requires handling bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, finalizing accounts, and accurate record-keeping.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping including voucher entries, sales and purchase registers, cash flow, and ledger postings using Tally software.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliation statements promptly resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare and finalize trial balances, profit & loss statements, and balance sheets periodically.
- Support GST filing, TDS compliance, and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Use MS Excel to create financial reports, monitor expenditures, and analyze data effectively.
- Perform all accounting functions independently with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or an equivalent qualification in accounting.
- Prior experience in core accounting tasks including bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, and account finalization.
- Proficient in Tally ERP 9 or Prime and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, financial formulas).
- Motivated, quick to learn, adaptable, and capable of working autonomously.
- Age not exceeding 45 years.
Job Details
- Location: Kolkata, India
- Monthly salary ranging between ₹15,000 and ₹20,000 depending on experience.
- Work schedule: Six days per week with 8 hours daily; Monday to Friday full day and Saturday half day; Sundays off.
