About Carpentaria

Carpentaria is a non-profit organisation dedicated to delivering Disability and Therapy Services for children, adolescents, and adults. Role Purpose

The Youth Support Worker will assist children and young people with their everyday living within a 24/7 residential setting. This involves contributing to the creation and execution of strategies to promote positive behaviours and help clients develop independent living skills, enabling them to realize their full potential both at home and in the community.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience in residential care, youth services, or Out of Home Care programs.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting children and youth to achieve their best lives by adopting a person-centred support approach.
  • Understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, with practical experience working in cross-cultural environments.
  • Availability and adaptability to work diverse shifts including short and long shifts on weekdays, weekends, evenings, overnight shifts, sleepovers, and public holidays.
