Role purpose
This position supports MSC’s goal of delivering a memorable holiday experience for guests of every age. As part of the onboard water park team, you help create a setting that is both enjoyable and secure, making sure visitors can use the attractions comfortably and with confidence.
What you will do
You will oversee activity in the water park area, watch over guests using the facilities, apply safety rules, and step in when assistance is needed. Your work helps keep the area running smoothly while protecting the well-being of children and adults alike.
Impact of the role
Your presence has a direct effect on guest satisfaction and safety, especially for families. By maintaining a calm, service-oriented approach and enforcing the right standards, you help shape a relaxed, well-managed experience that guests remember positively.
Experience and background
The role calls for a solid background in similar work, ideally in a water park, resort, or cruise environment. Experience supporting families and children, handling busy recreational settings, and maintaining safety standards is important.
Required capabilities
You should be comfortable working in fast-moving situations, able to respond to problems calmly, and familiar with water safety and emergency procedures. The position also requires strong guest-service instincts, clear communication, and the ability to support minors in active leisure environments.
Other requirements
English fluency is required for communication with guests and colleagues. A valid lifeguard certificate is mandatory. The role also demands physical stamina, teamwork, a positive attitude, and the ability to stay active for long periods while carrying out water-related tasks.
