Company Overview
Nippon Food Supplies is a company contributing to the diversification of Australia's food culture through the import, wholesale, and retail of Japanese food products, alcoholic beverages, and related consumer goods.
Position Summary
We are currently seeking candidates to join Nippon Food Supplies in Auburn, NSW as Warehouse Officers. Previous experience is welcomed but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you can confidently start. Basic English communication skills (greetings level) are sufficient for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking, sorting, and receiving inventory within the warehouse
- Unpacking containers and loading trucks
- Working in refrigerated and freezer environments
- Operating forklifts for warehouse tasks (only for licensed operators)
Candidate Profile
- Ability to work well in a team setting
- A strong sense of responsibility in handling tasks
- Possession of a visa valid for employment in NSW for at least four months is preferred (working holiday, student, permanent residency, or other applicable visa types)
- Experience in warehouse operations is advantageous
- Preference given to candidates with forklift driving experience or those willing to obtain forklift licensing
Working Conditions
- Workdays: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:06 PM
- Weekends and public holidays off
- Paid overtime applies: 1.5x pay for up to 2 hours, 2x pay for overtime beyond 2 hours
- Full-time employment
- Benefits include 20 days annual paid leave and employee discounts on Japanese food products
- Commuting options include car, or walking from Clyde Station (10 minutes) or Auburn Station (15 minutes), with direct train access from the city
