As Ennismore expands further across the Pacific, it is introducing a new senior leadership position: Vice President of Operations – Pacific.
Reporting to the COO, APAC, this role will oversee and support the company’s growing Pacific portfolio. At present, the remit includes 5 operating hotels, with 2 more openings expected in 2027.
Based in the Pacific region, the role involves regular travel across Australia, New Zealand, and other Pacific markets. This position suits a highly operational leader who prefers being on property, partnering closely with General Managers and hotel teams, and representing Ennismore with owners, brands, and key stakeholders.
The role calls for a practical, energetic leader who thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment and is motivated by building strong teams, improving business results, and delivering memorable guest experiences.
Role Overview
The Vice President of Operations, Pacific will provide regional leadership across the portfolio, ensuring hotel teams are aligned with Ennismore’s strategy, culture, and brand standards. The role focuses on strengthening performance, supporting growth, and helping shape the long-term success of the Pacific business.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide, coach, and support General Managers and hotel leadership teams to ensure they operate in line with Ennismore’s strategy, culture, and brand expectations.
- Spend substantial time on property working with operational teams to lift guest satisfaction, commercial outcomes, and day-to-day execution.
- Ensure General Managers are accountable for financial, operational, people, and guest experience goals through regular reviews and performance follow-up.
- Drive annual business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and latest estimate processes across the portfolio.
- Spot opportunities to improve revenue, margin, and operating efficiency without compromising the guest experience.
- Partner with Brand, Commercial, Revenue, Marketing, Food & Beverage, and People & Culture teams to strengthen regional performance.
- Help General Managers build capable leadership teams, succession plans, and talent pipelines.
- Lead hotel openings, transitions, and significant operational initiatives to ensure effective implementation and quick stabilization.
- Develop strong relationships with hotel owners and act as Ennismore’s senior operational point of contact, providing clear reporting and strategic advice.
- Identify operational risks and expansion opportunities while supporting the Pacific growth strategy.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking an experienced hospitality leader with a strong operational track record across multiple hotels and a hands-on approach to leadership. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment and brings both commercial awareness and strong people leadership.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Regional Director of Operations, Area General Manager, or Cluster General Manager in lifestyle or premium hospitality; a strong Food & Beverage background is an advantage.
- Proven success managing multiple hotels while improving commercial, financial, and operational outcomes.
- A visible leader who enjoys being present in hotels, coaching teams, and solving problems directly on site.
- Strong financial understanding with hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance improvement.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to earn trust with owners, General Managers, and corporate teams.
- Comfort working in a growing, entrepreneurial business where agility, creativity, and ownership matter.
- Genuine passion for lifestyle hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Applicants must already have valid work rights or work authorization for the country where the role is based. Visa sponsorship is not available.
