Role Overview
We are searching for a skilled Tamil-speaking Video Editor based in Bangalore who can craft both short and long-form video content tailored for our applications and social media platforms. The ideal candidate will transform raw footage and creative concepts into compelling videos that engage Tamil-speaking viewers.
Key Responsibilities
- Create dynamic video edits including reels, promotions, advertisements, and social media content optimized for platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and in-app feeds.
- Integrate Tamil subtitles, captions, voiceovers, and culturally appropriate visual text and graphics.
- Enhance videos using music, sound effects, transitions, and motion graphic elements.
- Partner effectively with marketing and creative teams to fulfill briefs and meet campaign objectives.
- Adapt content to various formats and aspect ratios such as 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9 for diverse channels.
- Deliver high-quality edits promptly while preserving brand standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Fluent in Tamil (speaking, reading, and writing) – a mandatory qualification.
- Between one to three years of practical experience in video editing.
- Proficient with editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar tools.
- Excellent storytelling capability, strong sense of pacing, and keen awareness of trends for regional content.
- Ability to work autonomously, handling multiple projects efficiently under tight deadlines.
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous video editing projects is required.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience editing videos for consumer applications or direct-to-consumer brands.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics and thumbnail design techniques.
- Understanding of social media platform algorithms and user engagement strategies.
