About the Role
This remote leadership opportunity is for a Vice President Information Technology based in the United States. The position owns oversight of IT operations, infrastructure, enterprise platforms, and information security efforts. You will partner with senior leaders to make sure technology capabilities align with business priorities, remain stable and compliant, and support high-quality service delivery.
The role also includes guiding IT teams, improving system reliability, managing technology programs, and advancing digital initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily IT operations, infrastructure, enterprise systems, and support services.
- Create and maintain technology roadmaps that reflect business goals and operational needs.
- Lead technology initiatives from planning through rollout, tracking schedules, costs, and outcomes.
- Define and enforce IT policies, operating procedures, and security controls that support continuity and data protection.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand needs and propose effective technology solutions.
- Track system uptime, performance, and service quality, while identifying improvements to processes.
- Oversee vendors, consultants, and third-party technology partners.
- Support cybersecurity, risk reduction, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Coach, manage, and develop IT managers and technical employees in a collaborative and accountable culture.
- Provide executive updates, recommendations, and performance reports on technology programs and operations.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 20 years of progressive IT leadership experience, including responsibility for technical teams and enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity fundamentals, and business applications.
- Background in leading cross-functional technology projects and working with varied stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, vendors, and competing operational priorities in a business setting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Prior exposure to financial services, banking, fintech, or other regulated sectors is an added advantage.
- Professional credentials such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP, AWS, Azure, or TOGAF are beneficial.
- Comfort and effectiveness in an independent remote setting while collaborating with distributed teams.
