Role overview
This senior executive role is accountable for designing, strengthening, and continuously refining the company’s operational management system worldwide. The position focuses on improving efficiency across global operations, simplifying and standardizing processes, and creating a scalable operational excellence model that supports long-term growth.
The role also leads efforts to unify operating standards, accelerate digital transformation, and apply Lean-based methods to improve cost performance, service quality, and overall execution across regions.
Global operations strategy and excellence framework
Develop a global operational excellence strategy that is aligned with the broader corporate direction. Build a consistent global operating system and set of standards, modernize operating models, streamline business workflows, and ensure the company’s operational capabilities can sustain future expansion.
Process optimization and efficiency improvement
Lead the standardization and redesign of important business processes. Use Lean and Six Sigma methods where appropriate to raise efficiency, lower operating costs, improve productivity, and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
Global standards, governance, and audit
Create unified policies, operating procedures, and management guidelines for global operations. Ensure strong execution quality and consistency across regions, spread proven best practices, and put in place operational review, audit, and assessment mechanisms.
Digital operations and data-led management
Drive automation and digital enablement across operational workflows. Build capabilities for operational data analysis and visualization, use insights to guide decisions and improvements, and increase transparency into global business performance.
Cross-regional collaboration and expansion support
Coordinate operational resources across geographies, encourage knowledge sharing between regions, and remove critical blockers in global operations. Support business growth initiatives, including entry into new markets.
Performance management and metrics
Define global operational KPIs and performance management systems. Track efficiency, cost structure, and service quality; assess regional performance on a regular basis; and provide improvement recommendations to the CEO/COO.
Capability building and culture
Develop a global operational excellence team and expert network. Strengthen talent capability in Lean operations and continuous improvement, and promote a culture centered on efficiency, quality, customer value, and stronger organizational execution.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. An MBA or additional advanced training in operations management is preferred.
Candidates should bring more than 20 years of experience in operations management or corporate process optimization, including at least 15 years in leadership roles within operations management or operational excellence in large organizations. Experience in global or multi-region operations is required, along with a strong history of delivering operational transformation or efficiency gains.
Strong capability is needed in building global operating systems, optimizing processes, and applying Lean practices. The role also calls for the ability to manage complex organizational structures, make decisions using data, and lead at an executive level across cultures.
Preferred background
Additional value will be given to experience with large multinational enterprises, Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt certification, digital transformation or intelligent operations initiatives, and global business integration or post-merger operational integration work.
