Position Overview

As a Vehicle Shuttler, you will be responsible for safely transporting new vehicles within a customer's property by driving them along designated routes to their assigned parking or staging spots in preparation for shipment. This role demands active outdoor work, independence, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough exterior inspections of vehicles before moving to spot any damage.
  • Report any conditions or damages that could hinder safe vehicle movement.
  • Drive vehicles throughout the premises using assigned routes.
  • Precisely park vehicles in designated bays or staging areas.
  • Adhere strictly to company, customer, and industry safety protocols.
  • Carry out vehicle inventory and tracking as assigned.
  • Operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles as needed.
  • Support vehicle wash and tag-and-rinse procedures at applicable sites.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the work environment.
  • Perform additional housekeeping or operational tasks as directed by site management.
  • Ensure punctuality and reliable attendance.
  • Be available to work overtime, weekends, or holidays to fulfill operational needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Demonstrate a strong safety focus and dependability.
  • Ability to interpret and follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Skill in detailed vehicle inspections to identify visible damage.
  • Capability to operate vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions safely.
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license where required for operating company or client vehicles.
  • Willingness to work outdoors throughout scheduled shifts in varying weather conditions.
  • Flexibility to adapt work hours based on operational demands.
  • Consistent and acceptable attendance record.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job is mostly performed outdoors with exposure to various weather elements including heat, cold, rain, dust, noise, and moisture. Physical activities include standing and walking for lengthy durations, frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, and getting in and out of vehicles multiple times per shift. Proper use of all assigned personal protective equipment is required.

Additional Details

  • Starting hourly wage is $16.50.
  • Schedule demands flexibility including possible overtime, weekend, and holiday shifts.
