Role overview
This is a contract UI Developer role based in Canada and offered on a remote basis. The compensation range is $30 to $90 per hour, and the expected workload is 10 to 40 hours per week.
What you will do
- Design, build, improve, and support complex user interfaces with React, TypeScript, and current frontend frameworks.
- Turn Figma files and wireframes into polished, reusable UI components using Tailwind CSS, SCSS, and Bootstrap.
- Deliver layouts that stay responsive and visually consistent across browsers and devices while following strong coding practices.
- Apply performance improvements and maintain accessibility standards, including WCAG best practices, across frontend work.
- Connect UI components to REST APIs so data moves reliably and user interactions remain smooth.
- Work closely with designers, developers, and business stakeholders, communicating clearly in writing and speaking.
- Take ownership of frontend structure, promote maintainable code, and contribute actively to code reviews.
Required profile
- Solid hands-on experience in the domain, especially with React and TypeScript.
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Practical experience with responsive layouts and cross-browser support.
- Good knowledge of DOM handling, REST API integration, and frontend performance optimization.
- Strong Git skills and comfort working in collaborative version-controlled environments.
- Ability to convert Figma specifications into accurate, maintainable, production-ready code.
- Clear understanding of accessibility standards and user experience principles.
Additional details
