Truck Driver

Overview

This role requires working onsite in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, with no option for remote work. Candidates must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Plan and modify driving routes considering changing conditions by using computer systems, GPS, or other navigation tools to optimize fuel efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
• Maintain professionalism when interacting with customers.
• Handle loading and unloading of cargo.
• Inspect and monitor vehicle condition including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage units, and other essential equipment.
• Manage payment processes related to goods transportation.
• Conduct emergency roadside repairs when necessary.
• Perform thorough vehicle inspections before, during, and after trips.
• Accurately document cargo details, driving hours, distance covered, and fuel usage.

Qualifications and Credentials

• Possession of a valid AZ class driver's license.
• Air Brakes Endorsement certification.
• Experience with maintaining and understanding documentation such as accident/incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbooks, inspection reports, maintenance and repair documents, and trip reports.

Additional Requirements

• Valid passport and driver's license.
• Willingness to submit to driver's license validity and driving record checks.
• Capability to perform physical requirements including prolonged sitting.
