Patanjali Herbal Research Division at Patanjali Research Foundation in Haridwar is hiring an English-Hindi Translator for full-time onsite work. Its team includes around 150 trained scientists with expertise in areas such as botany, taxonomy, microbiology, biotechnology, and related disciplines. The group contributes to academic research on plant-based medicine, yoga, and adjacent fields, and publishes research and review articles in journals with national and international reach. The broader aim is to create structured, validated research that supports scientists, researchers, and industry professionals working in Yoga and Ayurveda.

Job summary

The selected candidate will translate academic, educational, and research documents between English and Hindi while preserving meaning, tone, and technical accuracy. This role requires strong bilingual communication skills and careful attention to terminology, grammar, and context.

Responsibilities

• Convert academic, research, and educational material from English to Hindi and from Hindi to English.
• Keep the translated text faithful to the original meaning, tone, and intent while maintaining correct grammar.
• Review and refine translated content to improve clarity, consistency, and overall quality.
• Use research-appropriate and technical terms consistently across documents.
• Handle sensitive academic and research content with discretion and professionalism.
• Complete assignments within the agreed timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Arts, Hindi, English, Translation Studies, Linguistics, Literature, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in English-Hindi translation, ideally in academic or research settings.
• Strong written and spoken fluency in both English and Hindi.
• Translation certification will be considered an added advantage.
