About the Assignment

NTU International is preparing a proposal for a project focused on communication outreach and engagement concerning EU policies in North Africa, the Middle East, and the Gulf region. As part of this initiative, they are forming a pool of qualified Non-Key Experts, both Senior and Junior, to be engaged on a short-term, on-demand basis over a 36-month project implementation period.

The primary goal of this role is to provide strategic, technical, and logistical communication assistance to DG MENA, supporting the planning, development, and execution of daily communication activities. The aim is to enhance the visibility, reach, and influence of the European Union's policies, initiatives, and partnerships throughout the target regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate communication materials, reports, publications, presentations, and other institutional documents accurately.
• Deliver interpretation during meetings, workshops, conferences, webinars, and stakeholder consultations.
• Ensure linguistic precision, consistency, and cultural relevance in translated content.
• Aid in the preparation and review of communication materials available in multiple languages.
• Work alongside communication teams to guarantee clear and effective messages tailored for target audiences.
• Assist with managing terminology and uphold consistency in all project-related documentation.
• Support multilingual communication efforts during project events and outreach activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in translation, interpretation, or an equivalent credential is required.
• Native or near-native proficiency in the target language along with fluent English is essential.
• At least 2 years of general experience in translation or interpretation.
• A minimum of 1 year of specific experience working with communication or institutional content.
