Trade Centre Supervisor

Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and customer-oriented Trade Centre Supervisor to become a key member of our Whangārei Trade Centre team. Reporting directly to the Trade Centre Manager, you will contribute significantly to the daily success of our branch by fostering a positive workplace culture, driving operational excellence, and ensuring outstanding customer experiences.

Key Duties

• Assist the Trade Centre Manager in meeting sales targets, key performance indicators, and budgeting goals.
• Coach, support, and develop team members to help them meet personal and collective objectives.
• Promote a customer-centric atmosphere, making sure every customer receives excellent service and appropriate solutions.
• Manage daily branch workflows efficiently to prioritize tasks and fulfill customer demands promptly and accurately.
• Help with stock management, including inventory control, stock counts, and processing incoming goods.
• Support administrative operations such as invoicing, banking, stock entry, purchase orders, credit handling, and point-of-sale processing.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols and maintain a clean, professional branch appearance.
• Perform manual handling tasks and participate in operational activities as needed.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and other departments to maximize customer engagement and branch performance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in retail, trade sales, customer service, or supervisory roles is required.
• A strong commitment to outstanding customer service is essential.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Proficiency in motivating and guiding team members to reach targets.
• Confidence in achieving sales, operational, and financial objectives.
• A practical, hands-on approach including the ability to perform manual handling operations.
• Effective communication skills coupled with a positive and proactive attitude.
• Familiarity with industrial products, personal protective equipment, engineering supplies, tools, or related sectors is a plus; full training will be provided.
