Job description
Position Overview
The Municipality of East Hants is seeking a Ticketed Operator for the East Hants Sportsplex located in Lantz, Nova Scotia. This role primarily involves daily maintenance of the Sportsplex facilities, including the ice rink and ice plant equipment, ensuring smooth operations of the arena’s refrigeration systems.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a 2nd Class Refrigeration License.
- Previous experience in arena operations, refrigeration plant management, or facility maintenance.
- Current certification or willingness to obtain WHMIS and CPR/First Aid training.
- Successful clearance of a Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry background verification.
- Physical capability to perform labor-intensive tasks, including lifting objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Availability to work a varied schedule encompassing days, evenings, and weekends; options for casual, part-time, or full-time shifts.

Additional Details
