Test Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a meticulous and quality-driven Test Analyst to join our team in Berlin, Germany. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the dependability, functionality, and overall performance of software applications through comprehensive testing and collaboration with development teams to achieve high-quality product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases, scripts, and scenarios based on both functional and technical specifications.
• Conduct various testing types including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance tests.
• Detect, document, track, and report software defects using bug tracking systems.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Analyze testing outcomes and deliver clear reports regarding software quality and performance.
• Participate in test planning and strategy meetings as well as review sessions.
• Ensure the product meets the established quality standards before deployment.
• Retest fixed defects and verify their resolution.
• Support automation testing initiatives when applicable.
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation, plans, and records.
• Operate effectively within Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of QA processes and testing methodologies.

Requirements

• Prior experience in software testing, quality assurance, IT support, or related technical roles is preferred.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing lifecycle (STLC).
• Knowledgeable in manual testing approaches and familiar with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
• Experience or familiarity with automation testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, and Postman is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of databases, APIs, and web/mobile applications.
• Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving aptitude, and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to clearly document test cases and articulate issues effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and aptitude for collaborating in team environments.
• Capacity to manage multiple assignments in a dynamic setting.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
