Overview
Tesla is seeking a highly skilled Technical Recruiter to support its engineering and technical departments by sourcing and hiring outstanding candidates. This role involves collaborating closely with business leaders and hiring managers to identify hiring requirements and build teams that develop innovative products, automate manufacturing, advance AI systems, and contribute to Tesla's mission of creating the future of manufacturing. The position will serve multiple technical areas such as software, hardware, manufacturing engineering, AI, infrastructure, and materials. The role requires agility due to fast hiring timelines and is based in Brookshire, TX, with presence also noted in Palo Alto and Fremont, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and hiring managers to understand talent needs, devise recruiting strategies, and develop plans to fulfill hiring goals.
- Source and maintain an active pipeline of qualified technical candidates employing diverse and innovative sourcing methods.
- Manage end-to-end recruiting processes including sourcing, screening, behavioral interviewing, coordination, and offer management.
- Handle multiple open positions efficiently, providing regular status updates to business partners.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with recruiters, sourcers, and hiring teams across the organization.
- Stay current with recruiting best practices, tools, and processes in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Ensure a positive experience for candidates throughout the recruitment journey.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years' experience managing full-cycle technical recruiting or sourcing, either in corporate or agency settings.
- Proven expertise recruiting engineering and technical roles across disciplines such as software, hardware, manufacturing, and facilities.
- Ability to juggle multiple concurrent technical requisitions in a dynamic, high-volume context.
- Demonstrated success in identifying and evaluating talent, including passive candidates in competitive markets.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools like ATS and LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to partner effectively with hiring managers and leadership.
- Capability to work with urgency and adaptability amid ambiguous and challenging hiring timelines while maintaining quality.
