Job Summary
This position involves serving as a Visual Inspection Specialist where you will ensure high product quality by performing manual and automated inspections, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and maintaining robust documentation. You will operate inspection equipment, conduct line clearances, prepare qualification kits, and maintain audit-ready records. The role demands working within safety guidelines, supporting maintenance activities, troubleshooting equipment, and fostering continuous improvement initiatives like Kaizen and 5S.
Responsibilities
- Maintain inspection zones and conduct visual as well as automated product inspections.
- Execute batch documentation (manual and MES), facilitate line clearance, and prepare KNAPP and qualification kits.
- Comply with GMP standards, keep detailed inspection records, and ensure readiness for audits.
- Recommend operational improvements, implement corrective actions, and enhance inspection workflows.
- Investigate deviations, review manufacturing batch records (MBRs), and reconcile process documentation.
- Promote safety culture through toolbox talks (TBTs), enforce Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
- Perform CLTI activities, verify equipment calibration, address minor technical issues, and assist with preventive maintenance.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts through Kaizen events, report near misses, implement 5S practices, and collaborate across functions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduation in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or related discipline is mandatory.
- 4 to 8 years of relevant work experience in pharmaceutical packaging or quality inspection roles.
Skills and Attributes
- Proficient in audit report preparation and incident reporting.
- Experience in material handling and operating packaging machinery.
- Solid understanding of pharmaceutical packaging and quality management systems.
- Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), safety standards, and good documentation practices.
- Digital literacy and familiarity with lean methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail, safety-first attitude, and compliance orientation.
- Problem-solving mindset with continuous improvement and innovation focus.
