Role Overview
The Team Leader - Stores will manage a team responsible for ensuring prompt and efficient handling of orders, purchasing, delivery, receipt, storage, and issuance of spare parts and equipment. This is performed according to established inventory control procedures and safety standards, maintaining quality while providing needed reports to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and uphold efficient inventory control systems to manage spare parts and equipment effectively.
- Collaborate with workshop and team supervisors to ensure required spare parts availability.
- Maintain adequate stock of supplier-recommended spare parts to support operations.
- Track and report inventory performance, financial trends, and recurring equipment issues on daily, weekly, and monthly bases.
- Evaluate and optimize inventory minimum and maximum stock thresholds to balance cost management.
- Diagnose inventory problems and propose implementable solutions, monitoring progress continuously.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Analyze pricing of spare parts and assist in cost reduction initiatives by benchmarking suppliers and market rates.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Familiarity with both manual and computerized inventory control systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly in Excel.
- Fluent in English language.
- At least one year of experience in warehouse or related operations.
