Team Leader

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects by defining objectives and managing personnel, technology, and financial resources.
• Drive innovative improvements in processes or products, taking calculated risks to meet goals.
• Address complex challenges by applying cross-functional experience.
• Oversee the performance of both direct and indirect reports, aligning their objectives with team goals and reporting feedback to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with senior management to ensure achievement of objectives, regulatory compliance, and strict adherence to SOPs and cGMP standards.
• Develop and supervise a team of process technicians, optimize facility and equipment use, and lead Lean Tools implementation.
• Contribute to the creation of SMART Objectives, engage in best practice sharing, and manage training and performance of shift teams and contingent staff.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education and experience combinations: high school diploma with 8+ years experience, associate’s degree with 6+ years experience, bachelor's degree with 2+ years experience, or MBA/MS with relevant experience.
• Proven people management skills within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
• Understanding of Upstream/Downstream cGMP manufacturing operations.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic, and results-oriented settings.
• Decisive and effective in decision-making.

Preferred Criteria

• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Familiarity with Lean Tools and their deployment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Capability to identify employee development needs and provide growth opportunities.
• Experience ensuring regulatory compliance through well-established programs.
• Proficiency with AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to aid problem solving and improve processes.

Position is based on-premise in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India.
