Overview
This position within the Materials department at Sanmina Corporation involves rotating through four segments: Inventory, Purchasing, Planning, and Logistics. The role supports achieving global supply chain and logistics goals by ensuring a strong vendor-related supply chain and providing administrative assistance to the Materials Team.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics: Ensuring shipment documentation complies with customs regulations, coordinating internal export/import scheduling, managing freight forwarders, maintaining records, timely product transport, regular audits of import/export files, invoice processing, and handling duty management and Intrastat reports submission.
Planning: Weekly allocation of kits, reviewing supply shortages, coordinating supply with buyers, communicating with team leads and customer service on shipment schedules, issuing production plans, monitoring key production metrics, managing inventory and shop floor reports, and participating in work review boards.
Purchasing: Guaranteeing timely material supply consistent with inventory policies through order placement and MRP actions, collaborating with Commodity Management teams to implement contracts properly, and providing vendor performance and market data.
Inventory: Leading inventory reduction efforts to meet quarterly inventory turnover targets, analyzing demand changes, coordinating purchase order reschedules, ensuring MPS achievement with planners, identifying and improving process deficiencies, managing scrap and obsolete inventory dispositions, meeting department KPIs, and maintaining inventory reporting.
Quality and Compliance: Maintaining compliance with quality, industry regulations, and Health & Safety legislation.
Personnel Specifications
Preferred qualifications include a QQI Level 8 degree in Supply Chain Business, Finance, or related fields, and membership with professional bodies such as the IIPMM. Candidates should be skilled in IT, detail-oriented, organized, self-driven team players able to gather and analyze internal and external data and communicate findings effectively to various management levels. Experience in high-volume manufacturing and administration is an advantage.
