Role Overview

The Study Abroad Advisor position is a full-time, on-site role located in Kozhikode. This role requires counseling students and families to identify the best-fit countries, universities, and academic programs based on their backgrounds, budgets, and career objectives. Daily tasks include individual consultations, clarifying admission procedures and prerequisites, assisting with paperwork and timelines, and collaborating with internal teams on admissions and visa matters. The advisor is responsible for conveying detailed visa guidance, scholarship opportunities, and financial options, monitoring application statuses, and ensuring accurate record keeping within internal systems. Additional duties involve hosting seminars, responding to inquiries via multiple channels, and providing support throughout students' pre-departure and post-arrival phases to facilitate a seamless study abroad experience.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven abilities in educational consulting to aid students with program selection, admissions, and career planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deliver counseling sessions and clarify complex processes effectively, fostering trust.
  • Familiarity with visa procedures and document management to assist with application compliance.
  • Preferably, experience in study abroad advising or similar international education roles, particularly with knowledge of European and UK systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, capable of managing multiple student cases simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in an on-site setting with client interactions and able to utilize basic computer programs and CRM/student management software.
  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline, ideally education, counseling, or business; proficiency in English and local languages is favorable.
