Role Overview

The full-time remote Student Counsellor (Tele Calling) position involves assisting prospective and enrolled learners by helping them navigate their language education and career plans. Daily duties include making outbound and receiving inbound calls, evaluating the learners’ educational objectives, and guiding them to the most appropriate language programs and study paths. The role also involves detailing course information, enrollment procedures, schedules, and fees, while addressing any queries promptly and professionally.

The counsellor is expected to follow up on potential leads, meticulously document interactions using CRM software, and contribute to meeting enrollment targets by nurturing positive communications and relationships. This position requires collaboration with both academic and operational teams to ensure a seamless, supportive experience for learners throughout their course journey.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient counseling skills with focus on student and career guidance for language programs and future opportunities.
• Strong command of Tamil, English, and Hindi languages.
• Excellent communication abilities, including clear telephone communication and active listening, to connect effectively with diverse learners and their families.
• Customer service aptitude to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain a helpful and professional demeanor.
• Working knowledge of educational services and learning frameworks, ideally with experience in language training or global education sectors.
• Self-driven and organized, able to manage time well in a remote work setting with dependable internet access.
• Comfortable utilizing CRM systems, spreadsheets, and office software to monitor leads and generate reports.
• Previous experience in counseling, tele-calling, admission processes, or educational sales is advantageous.
• At least a bachelor's degree in any field; additional certifications in counseling, psychology, or education preferred.
