About the Role
The Strategic Buyer at Rolls-Royce will be instrumental in shaping the procurement approach across multiple commodity categories. This position involves executing strategic sourcing initiatives, leading contract negotiations, and ensuring a competitive, compliant, and resilient supply chain. The role necessitates collaboration with senior internal stakeholders to enhance cost efficiency, quality, delivery, and overall supplier performance.

Primary Responsibilities
- Drive supplier negotiations, oversee strategic sourcing, and manage categories to achieve improvements in cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Develop and refine commodity strategies in alignment with business objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and mutual performance enhancement.
- Initiate and lead cost-saving projects and strategies to mitigate risks and strengthen commercial resilience.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure procurement strategies support organizational goals.
- Champion continuous process enhancements and disseminate best practices within the global network.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree coupled with at least 4 years of procurement experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years in purchasing, or
- Master’s degree or JD/PhD holders, or
- Equivalent of 6+ years of purchasing experience if no degree is held
- U.S. Citizenship is required for eligibility.
Preferred Experience
- Background in commercial procurement and strategic planning
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers a competitive annual salary between $81,520 and $132,470. Rolls-Royce’s total rewards package includes a base salary plus discretionary bonuses. Work Arrangement
The position is based in Indianapolis, IN and follows a hybrid work model that requires an average of three days onsite per week, allowing flexibility to work from home or other remote locations. Relocation support is available if necessary.
