About the Role

Join the Fabrication team at Liebherr in Adelaide, where you will be integral in supplying workshop and production teams with essential materials, tools, and equipment. This multifaceted role encompasses inventory control, goods receipting and dispatch, purchasing, equipment upkeep, and safe handling of materials within a modern manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee stock levels, ensure inventory accuracy, conduct stocktakes, and manage replenishment to support seamless production processes.
  • Engage in inventory audits and initiatives aimed at improving store operations, inventory precision, and production assistance.
  • Receive, inspect, organize, and dispatch materials, tools, and equipment with meticulous record-keeping.
  • Coordinate procurement of consumables, personal protective equipment (PPE), uniforms, and workshop essentials to facilitate daily activities.
  • Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and lifting gear, including performing inspections, servicing, and ensuring compliance.
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling devices safely to relocate stock and materials.
  • Keep the storeroom clean, orderly, and compliant with safety standards while promoting continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in stores, warehouse, or logistics environments with solid knowledge of inventory control and stock management.
  • Possession of a current High Risk Forklift License and proficiency in operating material handling machinery safely.
  • High Risk Overhead Crane and Dogging Licenses, or demonstrable experience handling lifting and load-shifting equipment.
  • Competency in computer use for accurate maintenance of inventory, purchase orders, and compliance documentation.
  • Strong adherence to workplace safety protocols, including proper storage and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Background in mining, manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy industry is highly advantageous.
  • Certificate II in Warehousing and Storage is a preferred qualification.
