Store Supervisor

Overview

The role of Store Supervisor involves managing all aspects of material handling, inventory control, and storeroom operations within the organization. The candidate will ensure the smooth receipt, inspection, documentation, storage, and dispatch of materials, adhering to established protocols and maintaining inventory accuracy using ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and carefully inspect incoming materials and spare parts against purchase orders and delivery notes to verify correctness.
• Maintain accurate records of material receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments in the ERP/inventory management platform (specifically SAP B1).
• Monitor stock levels to maintain optimal inventory by triggering reorder points and initiating material requisitions following sanctioned procedures.
• Prepare materials for delivery by picking, packing, and dispatching to project sites or internal departments; oversee and coordinate transfers within site locations.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories, investigating discrepancies and executing necessary corrective measures.
• Liaise with procurement teams and suppliers to manage urgent material needs, returns, and resolve quality-related concerns.
• Manage storeroom documentation thoroughly including maintenance of stock cards, bin cards, inspection logs, and audit documentation.
• Ensure proper storage by maintaining suitable conditions, correct labeling, and segregation of hazardous or valuable materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the storeroom while complying with safety and 5S organizational standards.
• Assist in managing the disposal, transfer, or auctioning of obsolete or surplus inventory as per company policies.
• Provide support for special projects such as site relocations, plant shutdowns, or special equipment moves.
