Role Overview
The Stock Coordinator is essential to the smooth operation behind the scenes of our store. This role is focused on organizing stockroom activities, managing inventory processes, and replenishing product to ensure items are available when and where needed. The position supports commercial goals and contributes to delivering excellent customer service by maintaining efficient stock flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and oversee stockroom functions to ensure high standards of organization, efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
- Facilitate product availability across the retail floor by managing replenishment and stock movement.
- Maintain precise inventory records and identify any stock-related risks or opportunities contributing to business success.
- Assist with stock counts, deliveries, replenishment routines, and control procedures to promote operational excellence.
- Own stock accuracy targets and report inventory concerns promptly.
- Collaborate closely with store team members and management to align stock priorities with business needs.
- Provide continuous support and guidance on stockroom processes and best operational practices.
- Adhere strictly to company policies and Health & Safety standards to maintain a safe, well-organized work environment.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in stock operations, back-of-house retail, inventory control, or similar roles is an advantage.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and precise accuracy.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and maintain operational discipline in a fast-paced setting.
- Comfortable using inventory management systems and complying with stock control procedures.
- Proactive, collaborative work style, effectively cooperating with colleagues storewide.
- Deep understanding of the relationship between stock availability, customer experience, and commercial outcomes.
- Strong embodiment of the Dr. Martens brand and values, inspiring the same in others.
